Wholesale?

Great to see some activity!

Well, I have decided to make the jump.  I am so tired of galleries taking my work on a commission basis and returning dirty, even completely destoyed, pieces.   So, we are going to start pursuing wholesale only.   Being a green artist, I know that my contract wiull have to have a disclaimer saying that since I work with ONLY recycled goods, all items will be one-of-a-kind and cannot be duplicated.

Any other suggestions?

I am debating about this title but I mean a painting that can not be falsify.Should I say unforgeable?  Unfakeble?  I need some help on this from the community. Continue

Hello everyone don't know if I would call myself an Artist all my creations are made from the boxes and packaging materials that come to my job.
Please take a look and let me know what you think

I think what you have said all items one of a kind.  Since you are working with a limited pool of resources (recycled items) then each piece is unique.  If someone wants an item similar then it may be possible with the understanding no two are alike...and may I ask wholesale how are you approaching this, got a resource?  I too am tired of the gallery route and want to look at alternate forms of distribution I welcome any advice you are willing to share on this.

I love the fact artists are creating with items others would have thrown away!  David everyone starts somewhere and it really does not even matter where we end up it is the journey of art, our journey unfolding that makes it worthwhile.  I am currently gearing up for a fundraiser where I plan for a few pieces to find new homes while their $$$ goes to helping others...I love art for a cause stuff!

Hey folks-

recently joined...

haven't been painting for very long, I guess you could call me a green artist. My wife bought me a shoebox of acrylic paint from a garage sale, a year ago, and i started painting on 100 year old roofing slate and vintage saws i rescue from old farms and flea markets

Hiya all.  I just joined today, I joined you list because I have a green series among my art.  And have not met in person another artist who does green work, so figured would be nice to connect with others of a similar mind.  My green  series uses pre-used canvas that I find at estate sales, yard sales and thrift stores which I gesso and repaint giving a discount to my customers and keeps the old paintings out of landfills etc. and allows me to create pieces at less of an upfront cost.  Of course this is only one series and depends on when I find vintage pieces to be reused.  Sometimes the texturing in the previous works helps create the new piece and sometimes the under paintings are flat allowing for free expression, I even find unused canvas this way for less than retail.  Seems few are talking here so lets brainstorm new ideas for green art or even marketing ideas!
